Charizard is a dragon-like orange reptile with similarly colored wings and a long tail ending in a large flame. It is the evolved form of Charmeleon, and inherits his long white claws from this stage. After evolving twice, Charizard has gone from a small orange reptile to a near-dragon beast. The interior of his wings have a greenish-blue hue to him, and his feet now have strong white claws ending his three toes.
Evolution[]
Charizard is the second form of Charmander, and the evolved form of Charmeleon. Charizard's body is more similar to Charmander in color, and closer to Charmeleon in build and stature. Charmander evolves into Charmeleon at level 16, and then Charizard at level 36. The high level requirements deter some players from picking Charmander as a starter, but yet the Charmander line remains one of the most popular starter choices in all of Pokemon. After the introduction of the Kalos Region, Charizard is able to evolve into two different mega evolutions, depending on the game. In X, he becomes Mega Charizard X, and in Y, he becomes Mega Charizard Y.
